During the International Civil Nuclear Showcase 2020 conference in London (United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland), experts from the SAUEZM and the Exclusion Zone enterprises presented Ukraine's experience in the field of radioactive waste management and spent nuclear fuel.
In particular, design processes for radioactive waste management facilities, experience in decommissioning the ChNPP, and transferring the Shelter object to an environmentally safe system.
According to the SAUEZM heads, Ukraine is interested in sharing experience and establishing cooperation with British companies in the field of radioactive waste management, decommissioning of nuclear facilities and counteracting radiation threats.
Within the framework of the conference, a meeting with the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and other companies, dealing with radioactive and hazardous waste management took place, in particular in order to discuss the next steps in the development of cooperation.
In addition, with the support of the Department for International Trade of the Embassy of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, an exhibition of children's drawings «Chornobyl without bias» was organized by students of Dnipro schools from the Tatiana Okhrimenko Fine Arts Studio.
