Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Energy of China expressed their desire to expand cooperation with SAUEZM

During the meeting of the leadership of the State Agency of Ukraine on Exclusion Zone Management (SAUEZM) and the representatives of the Chamber of Commerce for the import and export of machine-technical and electronic products from China and Chinese power companies, the priority directions of the agency's activities and opportunities for expanding cooperation with international organizations were presented.

«China has repeatedly acted as Ukraine's partner on Chornobyl issues. It is one of the donors of the Chornobyl Shelter Fund, for whose money it has built the New Safe Confinement. In addition, the agency recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Coordination of Training Course for Chinese Experts at the Exclusion Zone Enterprises with the Company of China's Nuclear Suppliers. So, we have hope for further successful development of cooperation of our states», - Vitalii Petruk, Head of SAUEZM, commented.

During the meeting, Head of SAUEZM briefed the representatives of China on the main activities of the agency, including the development of alternative energy sources in this territory. He also stressed that in the spring of 2018, the agency received a feasibility study for the solar energy project in the Exclusion Zone from the French company, which confirmed the possibility and feasibility of the creation of 1.2 GW SPP.

«We are open to active cooperation on the development of alternative energy in the Exclusion Zone with international investors, and we hope to cooperate with China in this direction as well», - Kateryna Pavlova, Head of International Cooperation and Public Relations Department, said.

Representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of China noted the progressive approach of Ukraine to energy issues and expressed their desire to expand cooperation with the agency.
